After you have created a template in your HiHello Business or HiHello Enterprise account, you can track its views, saves, and contacts using the built-in HiHello analytics page. If you would like to be able to track additional information about your template, you can add Google Analytics.
Please note, before you can set up tracking, you’ll need to know your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Measurement ID.
Add Google Analytics Tracking to Your Template
To add your Google Analytics Measurement ID to your template:
- Log into the HiHello web app on your computer.
- Make sure you are in your admin profile. You can use the drop-down menu in the top right of your screen to switch profiles if you need to.
- Use the left side panel to navigate to your Templates page:
- Select the template you want to track with Google Analytics.
- Go to the Settings tab and then click + Add New in the Google Analytics section:
- Enter your Measurement ID:
- If you would like to add multiple tracking numbers, you can click + Add New.
- After you have finished adding your Measurement ID(s), click Save in the lower right to confirm and add your Google Analytics tracking to your template.
After you add a Measurement ID to your template, it will automatically be added to every card associated with the template. The template tracking number cannot be removed from an individual card, either by admins or team members.
It's possible to add multiple tracking numbers to cards. You and your team members can add additional tracking to a template-issued card and it will not affect the tracking you added to the template. You can add tracking to an individual card by following these steps:
View Your Template's Tracking Data
Once you’ve added your Measurement ID to your template, log in to your Google Analytics account. Make sure you’re on the correct property and click Realtime Overview. It may take a few minutes to collect, but data for your template will appear.
You can test to make sure the tracking code is working by sharing a card that is linked to this template with a colleague and watching as the data updates in your Google Analytics account.
