When your organization uses automated email signatures from HiHello, your account admin has the option to add a customized disclaimer that will appear below the rest of the email signature. This allows you to ensure that everyone in your organization is including the necessary language in their email communications to meet your company's standards but without requiring individuals on your team to manually add it themselves.
The disclaimers work whether you are using the automated signature tool for Google or Microsoft.
To add disclaimers to your automated email signatures:
- Log into your HiHello account on the web app.
- Use the drop-down menu in the top right to go to your admin profile.
- Use the left side panel to go to your automated email signatures page:
- If you have not already enabled automated email signatures in your account, you can follow these guides to set up the integration:
- Once your automated email signatures have been enabled, you can click + Add Disclaimer in the upper right:
- In the window that opens, you can type the disclaimer text you would like to include under your signatures. As you type, you'll see the preview update on the left:
You can click the toggle below the disclaimer text if you want to include a divider line between the email signature and the disclaimer text.
- When you are finished typing your disclaimer, click "Add & Apply" and the disclaimer will automatically be added to all of your automated email signatures.
Please note that it may take a few minutes for your end users to see the updated disclaimer in their account. Refreshing their email account can help the disclaimer update faster.
After you have added your disclaimer, you can edit or remove the disclaimer at any time. To edit or remove your disclaimer, click "Manage disclaimer" in the upper right:
You can then edit or delete your disclaimer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add a disclaimer to some cards and not others?
At the moment, disclaimers for HiHello automated email signatures cannot be added to specific cards. When you apply a disclaimer it will be added under all of the automated email signatures in your account.
Can I change the font or color of the disclaimer?
The current disclaimers cannot be manually adjusted in this way, they will all include the default font and color.
