HiHello recently released an update to our card editing page on the web app and the mobile app. This article provides an overview of how to update your premium branding features with the new editing experience after the update.
HiHello Professional, Business, or Enterprise subscriptions include premium features to help you customize your card and make it truly represent your brand. This includes custom colors, branded QR codes, personalized URLs, videos, and more.
Remember, after making any changes to your card, you will need to click Save to confirm the changes and update your card.

Logging In
Many premium features are only available in the HiHello web app, however there are also some that can be edited in the web app or the mobile app. You can find the mobile app here:
Once you have downloaded the app:
- Open the mobile app
- Log in with your email and password or your SSO of choice
- Go to your Cards page
- Click the card you want to update
- Click Edit
To edit your card and all of your premium features on your computer, you can log into the HiHello web app by either:
- going to http://hihello.me/app/cards and logging in with your email and password or your SSO of choice
Or:
- Opening your mobile app account

Tapping on the More tab

Tapping on Switch to Desktop

You will receive an email with a link

Open the email on your computer and click on the button in the email to log in to the HiHello Web app
Upgrade to a Premium Subscription
You can upgrade your subscription within our billing portal, accessed on the HiHello web application. If you are already using the web app, please feel free to skip to step 5 below.
- Open the HiHello mobile app,
- Tap on the More tab
- Tap on Switch to Desktop.
- On your computer, open the email you receive and click on the button in the email to log in to the HiHello Web app.
- Click the gear icon in the panel on the left to go to Settings
- Within Settings, click + Upgrade Plan under Subscriptions to go to the billing portal
- Now that you are in the billing portal, you can upgrade your subscription.

Custom Colors
To reflect your brand, you can customize your primary, secondary, primary accent, and secondary accent colors. The following chart shows what features are connected to each of your colors:
To Assign Custom Colors on the Web App:
- On your cards page, click on the card you want to update
- Click Edit
- Go to the Display tab
- Select the color wheel:
- Click the color you would like to change (Primary, Primary Accent, Secondary, or Secondary Accent)
- Choose the specific color from the color selector or insert the specific RGB, HSL, or HEX values
- Save your card
To Assign Customer Colors on the Mobile App:
- On your cards page, click on the card you want to update
- Click Edit
- Go to the Display tab
- Select the color wheel:
- Click the color you would like to change (Primary, Primary Accent, Secondary, or Secondary Accent)
- Choose the specific color from the color selector
- Save your card
Add a Logo to Your QR Code
Every HiHello QR code includes the HiHello logo by default. You can add your own logo so that your QR code represents your brand and leaves a strong impression on your new contacts. To add your logo to your QR code:
- Log into the web app: http://hihello.me/app/cards
- On your cards page, click on the card you want to update
- Click Card Settings above your card:
- In the tray that opens, click QR code logo:
- Click Upload or Search
- Select the logo that you would like to use
- When you are done, click Save to confirm the new QR code logo
When choosing a logo to upload to customize your QR code, we recommend a 1:1 aspect ratio with a minimum of 332x332 pixels.
Add a Badge to Your Card
The HiHello Badge field allows you to add multiple logos or accreditations to your card. This allows you to represent multiple brands and easily share a visual of your accreditations and qualifications with anyone who receives your card. You can add badges on either your computer or your phone.
Add a Badge on Your Computer
- Log into the web app: http://hihello.me/app/cards
- On your cards page, click on the card you want to update
- Click Edit
- Go to the Display tab
- Click Add Badge in the Badges section:
- Upload or drag and drop the image you would like to use:
- Save your card
Please notes that all images must be under 20MB

- Click + Add in the Add a Badge section:
- Upload the image you would like to use and tap Add:
- Save your card

Personalize the Link to Your Card
Each HiHello card is automatically assigned a randomized URL when it is created. With a Professional, Business, or Enterprise subscription, you can personalize the link to each card. To change your card's URL:
- Log into the web app here: http://hihello.me/app/cards
- On your cards page, click on the card you want to update
- Click Card Settings above your card:
- In the tray that opens, click Personalized link:
- Enter the text that you would like to appear at the end of your URL
- Click Save
Your card is hosted by HiHello and, therefore, will always include the domain "hihello.me" in the link. When you update your URL, it will be in the format: https://hihello.me/hi/yourname
Select Your Card Design
To make your card stand out and better reflect your brand and style, you can choose between our various card designs.
To update your card design on the web app:
- Log into the web app here: http://hihello.me/app/cards
- On your cards page, click on the card you want to update
- Click Select Design above your card:
- Select the design you would like to use
- Click Apply Design
To update your card design on mobile:
- Log into your account on the HiHello mobile app
- Go to the Cards tab
- Select the card you want to update
- Tap the Edit button:
- Go to the Display tab:
- Select the design you would like to use
- Save your card
Add a Profile Video
You can add a profile video to the top of your card on either your mobile device or your computer.
Add a Profile Video on Your Computer
- Log into your account on the web app: http://hihello.me/app/cards
- On the Cards page, select the card you want to update
- Click Edit
- Go to the Display tab
- Click Add Video:
- Upload or drag and drop the video you would like to use
- Save your card

Add a Profile Video on the Mobile App
- On your cards page, click on the card you want to update
- Click Edit
- Go to the Display tab
- Click Add a Photo or Video:
- Upload a video
- Save your card

Embed a Video
You can include an embedded video at the bottom of your card to include an interactive element. This feature can be added on your computer or on the mobile app.
Embed a Video on Your Computer
- Log into your account on the web app: http://hihello.me/app/cards
- On the Cards page, select the card you want to update
- Click Edit
- Go to the Fields tab
- Select YouTube, Vimeo, or Brightcove:
- Enter the link to your video in the top YouTube box, enter an optional display text below, and click the Feature Video? toggle to embed the video:
- Save your card
Embed a Video on the Mobile App
- On your cards page, click on the card you want to update
- Click Edit
- Go to the Fields tab:
- Select YouTube, Vimeo, or Brightcove:
- Enter the link to your video in the top YouTube box, enter an optional display text below, and click the Feature toggle to embed the video:
- Save your card
Additional Information about Embedded Videos
- While you cannot move the position of the embedded video, you can click and hold the link while editing your card to move the link to a different position on your card. The link will always still appear on your card when you feature an embedded video.
- If your video is not playing correctly, please check your YouTube account permissions and ensure that you have enabled embedded videos. If not, you may need to select a different video or adjust your account permissions.
- The thumbnail image that appears on your digital business card is pulled from YouTube. To change the image, upload a different thumbnail image to the YouTube video.
- Please note, at the moment, embedded Vimeo videos will not show up when viewed in the mobile app.
